Betongpark was appointed to develop the design and deliver a new concrete skatepark for East Cowes Town Council, transforming the existing facility into a more engaging and usable space for the local community. The new park makes use of the existing skatepark footprint while introducing a contemporary mix of street and transition-based features.

The design was developed through consultation with local users, with feedback helping to refine the layout, flow and selection of obstacles. A key focus was creating something different from the other skateparks on the island, while providing an accessible layout that could support progression across different ability levels.

Street-focused elements include ledges, rails, a manual pad, hubba and stair features, combined with banks, hips and transition elements to generate speed and link lines through the park. The resulting layout balances dedicated trick areas with interconnected routes, giving users the freedom to skate individual features or develop longer lines across the space.
