Daryl Nobbs
Director
A founding member of Betongpark in Norway, Daryl now acts as lead designer and builder in the company as well as heading up the London office and UK construction projects. With more than 10 years experience at the highest level, Daryl is recognised as a leading figure in skatepark design and construction in Europe.
As a formerly sponsored level skateboarder he has travelled the world both skating and working with the construction of skateparks, gaining coverage in various international publications. Amongst others he is a proud member of the group of volunteers who built India’s first free to use skatepark in Bangalore. The well documented project kickstarted a revolution of volunteer led programmes, bringing skateboarding to communities across the globe.
Daryl’s unique skillset of on-site and behind-the-pencil experience make him thoroughly equipped to successfully deliver any project down to the last detail. He works passionately to realise creative spaces for skateboarding and rolling activities.

Dom Alden
Designer / Landscape Architect
Dom is a trained landscape architect and lifelong skateboarder. He acts as one of the main designers, visualisers and planners. He uses his specialised skill set and many years on board to ensure the seamless assimilation of skateparks into the landscape, as well as the beautiful presentation of designs to all clients.
His keen eye for detail and depth of skatepark knowledge allows for the creation of thoughtful, innovative and beautiful design conception.

Sam Elstub
Designer / Chartered Landscape Architect
Sam is a skatepark designer and chartered landscape architect with over a decade of professional experience. A lifelong skateboarder, he brings a combination of technical expertise and creative insight to every project.
His background in landscape architecture spans infrastructure, residential, civic, and policy sectors, giving him a broad and adaptable design perspective.
At Betongpark, Sam draws upon his background in landscape architecture to coherently design and integrate skate and landscape topographies.
His role extends to site analysis, concept development, and detailing construction elements to ensure both aesthetic quality and functional performance. Sam also contributes to community engagement processes and coordinates with contractors during the implementation phase.

Stuart Maclure
Development Manager
Stuart is Development Manager at Betongpark and has over 7 years ́ experience managing high profile construction projects including the restoration of the oldest UK skateboarding street spot at Southbank Centre.
His diverse skill set covers planning and contract law, as well and managing new business and supporting the site team.
Stuart is a a lifelong skateboarder, passionate campaigner and activist. Dedicated to promoting and celebrating skateboard culture, he manages the Long Live Southbank campaign and is cofounder of international conference Pushing Boarders.
Before joining Betongpark, Stuart gained professional experience working as a strategic consultant to private and public sector bodies including the Mayor of London´s office, London Legacy Development Committee, the Mayor of West Midlands and the Mayor of San Francisco.

Ben Rutherford
Designer / Technical Manager
Ben is a skatepark designer at Betongpark, who draws from his extensive experience in production of detailed construction packages and fabrication work. His sharp eye for detail helps to seamlessly bridge the gap between the design and construction stages of our skateparks.
Expertise in 3D modelling software enables Ben to contribute visual design material into all stages of our work from concept design, planning, tender and construction stages.

Nicolas Gordon
Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Nicolas is a civil engineer and project manager at Betongpark, bringing experience from a wide range of infrastructure and public realm projects across the UK. With a background in highways, bridges and sports facility design, he has worked on everything from detailed CAD modelling and surveys to site inspection and client coordination.
At Betongpark, Nicolas combines this technical knowledge with a genuine love for skateboarding to help deliver high quality skateparks.
He supports the team with engineering input, project management and day to day problem solving, always making sure the final build works for both skaters and the wider community.

Jake Welch
Construction Foreman
Jake is a highly experienced member of the team, leading crews for Betongpark across the UK.
Previously, Jake worked for years with Spohn Ranch, a world renowned company in the USA across a huge variety of types of skatepark construction.
He has an extensive background in steel fabrication both in the workshop and on site, and has an eye for detail like no other.

Nick Tombs
Skatepark construction specialist
Nick has been with Betongpark in the UK from the outset at our very first park in east London, and has climbed the ranks ever since.
He is now a highly skilled member of the crew across all aspects of construction.
Nicks interest in skateparks extends to his community work at the Hackney Bumps, starting DIY renovation works on what has become a much loved spot in London.

Joe Walker
Construction Foreman / Excavator operator
Joe started his journey in skatepark construction with Betongpark and has worked across all aspects throughout his time with us over the years.
Not only is Joe now leading crews for Betongpark, but he is a highly skilled and trained Excavator operator, with capabilities in GPS steering, and specialist earthworks construction.
Joe is a key player in the very first stages of a project, right through to the details of concrete finishing.

Theo Hughes
Construction Foreman
Theo has a construction background born at DIY community skatepark, The Grove, in south London.
His passion for skate construction and community extends to his work with Betongpark, where he now masterfully leads crews across the UK.
Theo has a brilliant can-do attitude, helping to overcome the most complex tasks in skatepark construction.
